Joining us for worship after Lockdown
The leadership and Trustees have taken action to minimise the potential for spreading of COVID-19 among worshippers, and those working within the building and surrounding grounds. We are only a small building. We have 30 chairs which have been rearranged to create more space.
We want to keep cash as long as we can. Regular contributors to Gateway can give online or use the Paypal donate button.
We warmly welcome all children and young people, they are part of the worshipping body of Christ. Young children should be supervised by the parent or guardian and appropriate hygiene precautions followed
Government guidelines recommend visitors bring their own bibles and take them home with them but we do have some you can use.
Government social distancing guidelines are advertised. People from the same household of course can sit together.
Storing Your Personal Data
If you are a member, you have given us basic contact details: name, address, date of birth and email address. The Administrator and Pastor have separate email addresses for conducting church business. We securely keep a list of emergency call-out details for keyholders and the Landlords to our premises. We may keep limited details regarding landmarks in your spiritual journey, such as arrangements for water baptism and registers of attendance or payment for different church courses and conferences. Details are kept securely in a locked cabinet on church premises only accessible to the Treasurer and the Executive Committee if need be.
Disclosing Your Information
We will not disclose your personal information to anyone outside of Gateway Community Church, except where we are legally required to disclose your information to a third party such as the Charity Commission or for safety or security reasons. We hold Gift Aid Declarations for church members who are taxpayers and have stated their wish for Gateway Community Church to reclaim the tax taken from their charitable donations to the church. We do pass on those details to HMRC when making an annual claim
You might find links to third party websites on our website, Twitter account or Facebook page. These websites should have their own privacy policies which you should check. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies whatsoever.
Access to Information
You can request a copy of any information that we hold about you. Please contact us if you wish to do so.
We recognise that publishing information via the Internet means publishing it world-wide. Each person’s explicit and informed consent is sought before publishing their personal information on our website. We take special care with photographs of children and young people. We always obtain the consent of a parent or guardian with parental responsibility for the child in question before publishing information about children.
Video streaming and Recording services
Gateway Community Church relays the Sunday service to those in the crèche. The sermon is also recorded each week to distribute solely to church members through encrypted WhatsApp but all recordings are created, managed, and disposed of in accordance with applicable regulatory record-keeping requirements and needs of the church.
